Varun Tej's Ghani shoot postponed amid Covid-19 scare

Varun Tej’s Ghani, starring Saiee Manjrekar, which began shooting earlier this year, has come to a halt as a precautionary measure amid the second wave of coronavirus. Directed by Kiran Korrapati, it is set to release in theatres on July 30.
Amid the rising number of Covid-19 cases across the country, many Tollywood films like Love Story, Virata Parvam, Ishq - Not A Love Story, etc., have been postponed indefinitely. In the latest Instagram post, Varun Tej announced that the shooting for his sports-drama Ghani has been halted as a precautionary measure amid the second wave of coronavirus. The actor began shooting for the film earlier this year. Directed by Kiran Korrapati, it stars Upendra, Suniel Shetty, Jagapathi Babu and Nadhiya in pivotal roles. Saiee Manjrekar plays the female lead, Maya. The actor, who had been posting pictures from the sets of Ghani, took to social media on Thursday to inform his fans that the film’s shoot has been halted. Makers of several films, like Pushpa, Sarkaru Vaari Paata, etc., have postponed the shooting of the films as Covid-19 cases are rising at an alarming rate. Sharing a picture from the sets, Varun wrote, “Gloves off ,will resume #Ghani shoot soon! #Covidmeasures (sic).”More Related News
