Vanniyar Sangam sent a legal notice to Suriya, Jyotika, director TJ Gnanavel and Amazon Prime Video seeking an apology and Rs 5 crore as compensation. They claim that Suriya-starrer Jai Bhim tarnishes the image of the Vanniyar community.
Pu Tha Arulmozhi, State President of Vanniyar Sangam issued a legal notice to actor Suriya, Jyotika, Amazon Prime Video and director TJ Gnanavel seeking an unconditional apology and demanding removal of scenes from Jai Bhim that allegedly defame the Vanniyar community. Jai Bhim is a film that talks about members of the Irular tribe who were subjected to custodial torture.
