
UPSC Civil Services result 2025 declared: Anuj Agnihotri tops, 958 candidates qualify

The Union Public Service Commission has announced the final results of the Civil Services Examination 2025, ending months of anticipation among aspirants. Candidates who appeared for the Personality Test round can now check the final merit list on the official website, upsc.gov.in.
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has declared the final results of the Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2025 today,i.e., March 6, 2026. Candidates who appeared for the examination can now check the final merit list on the official website, i.e., upsc.gov.in.
The final result has been prepared based on candidates’ performance in the written examination and the Personality Test (Interview).
The result PDF includes the names and roll numbers of candidates recommended for appointment to various civil services across the country.\
A total of 958 candidates have been recommended for appointment through the Civil Services Examination 2025 against 1,087 reported vacancies across various services. The commission has also placed 258 candidates in a reserve list, while 348 candidates have been recommended provisionally. Additionally, the results of two candidates have been withheld, according to the official release.
Candidates can check the final result on the official UPSC website. The commission has released the merit list in PDF format containing the names of candidates selected for different services.
The Civil Services Examination is considered one of the toughest competitive exams in the world. Every year, lakhs of aspirants appear for the exam, but only a small fraction make it to the final list after clearing three stages – the Preliminary Examination, Main Examination, and Personality Test.
