The Delhi-Mumbai Expressway is likely to be completed in the next two-three years.
The upcoming airport at the Jewar area of Greater Noida is likely to be connected with the much-awaited Delhi-Mumbai Expressway. The Expressway is passing just 31 kilometers away from the upcoming airport from the Ballabhgarh city of Haryana. The Uttar Pradesh and Haryana governments have agreed to construct a road to link the two areas. While seven kilometers of this stretch is in Uttar Pradesh, 24 kilometers of the stretch of this proposed road is to be constructed in Haryana. “Both the state governments will identify land and after the acquisition process, it will be handed over to the national highway authority of India (NHAI) for further construction,” said a senior officer at the Yamuna Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA). The Delhi-Mumbai Expressway is likely to be completed in the next two-three years. The 1250 kilometer long highway will connect Delhi, Haryana, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra. It will connect India’s national capital Delhi to the financial capital Mumbai. “As a result of this connecting road, the travel time from Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi to the upcoming Noida International airport will be reduced by one and a half hour. This is the most sustainable way to connect both the airports of the national capital region,” the officer added.More Related News
