
UP woman calls cop on 'TV-obsessed' mother-in-law, says she feeds me stale food

A woman in UP's Gorakhpur, who was reportedly fed up with her mother-in-law feeding her stale food, called the cops on her.
A woman in Uttar Pradesh's Gorakhpur called the cops on her mother-in-law after the two got into a fight over who will cook food. The complainant lives with her mother-in-law in Gorakhpur's Majhgawan village. Both their husbands work elsewhere. The woman was reportedly fed up with her mother-in-law feeding her stale food and dialled the police helpline number. She claimed that she was falling ill as a result. She also complained that her mother-in-law would spend the entire day watching TV.
As per the Bill, those involved in unlawful conversions on the pretext of marriage will be punished with imprisonment of seven years and shall also be liable for a fine of Rs 1 lakh. Violations in respect of a minor, a person of unsound mind, a woman or a person belonging to the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe will be punished with imprisonment of seven years and a fine of Rs 5 lakh.
