
UP Police silent on why Mukhtar Ansari's convoy halted in Agra for several minutes

Agra police officers are unable to answer why the convoy ferrying don-turned-politician Mukhtar Ansari from Punjab's Ropar to the Banda jail in UP had stopped in Agra on Tuesday night.
The police convoy that ferried notorious UP muscleman and gangster Mukhtar Ansari from Ropar district in Punjab to the Banda district jail in UP passed through Agra last night. However, despite the strict instructions to the police team against stopping in the way, the convoy stopped at the village Wajidpur in the PS Dauki area of Agra at around 10 pm. Although the halt lasted only five minutes, Agra SSP Muniraj G and other senior officers are unable to answer why the convoy had stopped in Agra and whether anyone contacted the gangster during that stop.
A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.

He was allegedly threatened with his life over the delay in repayment. Fearing for his life, Sachin immediately alerted the police.
