
Daring operation by Surat police to catch armed miscreants caught on camera

According to the police, 19-year-old Sachin Dharmendrabhai Chaudhary, who works as a labourer, had borrowed the money before expressing his inability to repay it immediately, police said. He was allegedly threatened with his life over the delay in repayment. Fearing for his life, Sachin immediately alerted the police.
A high-voltage scene unfolded in Gujarat's Surat recently when a police team foiled a potentially deadly attack on a man by catching a group of bike-borne miscreants armed who had allegedly arrived with sharp weapons to recover a paltry sum of money.
The entire episode was caught on a nearby CCTV camera. Six men were arrested, and two minor boys were detained from the site.
The arrested persons have been identified as Manish alias Kaliya Gupta (28), Priyesh alias Sahul Dubey, Deepak Yadav, Amit alias Bidi Yadav, Prakash alias Vicky Soni, and Abhishek alias Bacchi Yadav.
The incident took place in the Godadara area of Surat. The matter stemmed from a debt of just Rs 1,000.
