UP govt gives clean chit to IAS officer Aditi Singh in Unnao rape case

The Uttar Pradesh government has rejected the Central Bureau of Investigation's recommendation to take action against IAS officer Aditi Singh in the 2017 Unnao rape case and gave her a clean chit, sources said.
In September 2020, the CBI recommended "appropriate action" against four officials, including IAS officer Aditi Singh, citing lapses in handling the case of rape of a minor girl by former BJP MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar in Unnao.
