UP election: Farmer unions hold panchayat at CM Yogi Adityanath’s bastion, campaign against BJP

The Samyukta Kisan Morcha (SKM) on Tuesday held a panchayat at Sahjanwa area of Gorakhpur, which is the bastion of UP CM Yogi Adityanath, and called for a Bharat Bandh on September 27.
Ahead of next year's Uttar Pradesh Assembly election, farmer unions are trying to penetrate into the Purvanchal area with the aim to sensitise the locals about the three contentious farm laws and campaign against the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
The Samyukta Kisan Morcha (SKM), an umbrella body of the protesting farmers' unions, on Tuesday held a panchayat at Sahjanwa area of Gorakhpur, which is the bastion of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, and called for a Bharat Bandh on September 27.
