Wings India 2026, Asia’s largest civil aviation expo, will be inaugurated by Union Civil Aviation Minister K. Rammohan Naidu at Begumpet Airport in Hyderabad on Wednesday (January 28, 2026)
Anchored around the theme, “Indian Aviation: Paving the Future – From Design to Deployment, Manufacturing to Maintenance, Inclusivity to Innovation and Safety to Sustainability,” the four-day event seeks to showcase the transformation of India’s aviation ecosystem into a key driver of economic growth, regional connectivity and global integration.
The first two days, January 28 and 29, will centre on business discussions and policy engagement among industry stakeholders. The inauguration will be followed by a series of roundtable discussions covering airports, airlines, women in aviation, and aircraft leasing and financing. A panel discussion on helicopters, a global CEOs’ forum and a ministerial plenary are also scheduled.
The Wings India 2026 Awards will be presented during the event. Aerobatic performances by the Suryakiran Aerobatic Team of the Indian Air Force and the Mark Jefferies Aerobatic Team from the United Kingdom will also be held during these days.
A major attraction at the expo will be the static display featuring 34 aircraft and helicopters. Russia’s United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) will showcase its Ilyushin IL-114-300 and the import-substituted Superjet 100, marking their first appearance outside Russia. Air India will display its Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, while Air India Express will exhibit the Boeing 737 MAX and Akasa Air the Boeing 737-8 MAX. Airbus will also have aircraft on display, and Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) will present its aircraft and helicopters, among other participants.
