Understanding Anurag Dobhal: How a family rift spiralled into a livestream crash
India Today
We look at the events that led to YouTuber Anurag Dobhal aka UK07 Rider's livestream crash. From family disputes and legal battles to mounting mental health struggles, here's all there is to know.
The internet watched in horror as popular YouTuber Anurag Dobhal allegedly embarked on his "final drive", and attempted to end his life by crashing his Toyota Fortuner during an Instagram livestream earlier this month.
The moto-vlogger, better known as UK07 Rider, was driving on the Delhi–Meerut Expressway on March 7 when the incident unfolded with thousands of viewers watching. What began as an emotional livestream turned into a terrifying moment when the SUV crashed into a divider at high speed.
The crash shocked fans, but those who had been following Dobhal closely for a while say the warning signs had been building for months. A bitter family dispute, legal complaints and a visible decline in his mental health had already pushed the YouTuber into a deeply vulnerable place.
The tensions reportedly began after Dobhal married his long-time girlfriend Ritika Chauhan in May 2025. According to the YouTuber, the marriage did not go down well with his family because it was an inter-caste union. Dobhal belongs to a Brahmin family, while Ritika is Rajput.
In several videos and posts, he claimed his parents strongly opposed the relationship and eventually withdrew their support just days before the wedding. Dobhal later said he had to go through important wedding rituals without them and felt humiliated by relatives during the ceremony.
The fallout from that moment, he has suggested, marked the beginning of a deep fracture within the family.
