Under pressure, Sachin Vaze contemplating recording statement under 164 CrPC

Sachin Vaze's lawyer Kalekar told the court that the ex-cop was under tremendous pressure from the state as well as the Centre and was contemplating recording his statement under section 164 of the CrPC.
The holiday Magistrate court in Mumbai has sent former Mumbai cop Sachin Vaze to police custody till November 15. This is when the crime branch sought two more days of Vaze’s custody to investigate the Goregaon extortion case that is being investigated by them.
Vaze’s lawyer Aarti Kalekar told the court that they had conceded to the crime branch’s request during the last remand hearing and would agree to do so even now.
