
Ukraine crisis: All Andhra Pradesh students traced, brought back to safety

Russia-Ukraine crisis: An IAS officer in charge of overseeing the evacuation of Andhra Pradesh students from Ukraine has said that all the students have been traced and successfully brought to safety.
Out of 770 Andhra Pradesh students who were stranded in the war-torn country of Ukraine, 757 students have been repatriated to India, said Babu, an IAS officer and member of the task force team responsible for bringing them back safely.
The Andhra government reported that there were 7 students who had only one contact number and it was confirmed that 6 students had arrived and were from Telangana.
One student's repatriation status is yet to be confirmed and the team is trying all communication resources, including email, to get in touch with the student.

Four students are at the borders about to depart, one student is safe and staying at his relatives' house in Poland and one student is willing to stay back.
On Thursday, Telugu Desam Party (TDP) National President and former CM, N Chandrababu Naidu held a meeting with the Telugu students who arrived safely back home.
It was with the help of the TDP NRI wing that they could safely reach the Ukraine border from where they could board special flights to safely reach home.
