A police team was carrying out an intensive check near Old Delhi Railway Station when, at around 6.15 pm, they noticed two boys on a red-colour Scooty coming from Chhatta Railside. On noticing the police, they tried to flee but were apprehended.
During the search of the suspects, a loaded country-made pistol and a live cartridge were recovered from their possession.
The accused were identified as Arjun Prince aka Lally (25) and Bharat (22). The Scooty that they were riding was also stolen recently from Sadar Bazar.
During interrogation, both the accused disclosed that they were living in a rented room in Kashmere Bagh, Shastri Nagar, away from their family to evade their arrest. They were inspired by the Bollywood movie ‘Dhoom’ and confessed to committing many robberies by using their own motorcycles.
Two high-end motorcycles and 10 expensive mobile phones were also recovered from their rented accommodation at Shastri Nagar.
With their arrest, 11 criminal cases of robbery, snatching and theft registered at DBG Road, Sadar Bazar, Lahori Gate and Kotwali have been solved.

He was allegedly threatened with his life over the delay in repayment. Fearing for his life, Sachin immediately alerted the police.
