Two militant associates of Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) were arrested by security forces from Jammu and Kashmir's Budgam district on Wednesday.
Two militant associates of Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) were arrested by the security forces from Laloo Sheshgari Hyderpora of Budgam district in Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday, police said. Acting on specific inputs, security forces arrested the LeT militant associates in a joint operation and also recovered incriminating materials from their possession, a police spokesman said. The LeT militants have been identified as Aquib Ahmad Wani, a resident of Laloo Sheshgari Hyderpora, and Aadil Manzoor Mir, a resident of Nadirgund Humhama.
As per the Bill, those involved in unlawful conversions on the pretext of marriage will be punished with imprisonment of seven years and shall also be liable for a fine of Rs 1 lakh. Violations in respect of a minor, a person of unsound mind, a woman or a person belonging to the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe will be punished with imprisonment of seven years and a fine of Rs 5 lakh.
