Two men arrested for the stabbing death of a 32-year-old man following a quarrel in J.C. Nagar, Bengaluru.
A 32-year-old man was stabbed to death following a series of quarrels near J.C. Nagar in north Bengaluru on Saturday (April 4), the police said. The deceased has been identified as Vijay. According to a complaint filed by one Ranjitha, the incident stemmed from a late-night altercation on April 3.
Police investigations revealed that Vijay, allegedly in an inebriated state, picked up a fight with a man, identified as Vinod Kumar, after a minor accident in J.C. Nagar on April 3 night. The altercation escalated, and Vijay allegedly damaged Vinod’s two-wheeler.
Later that night, Vinod, along with one Uday Kiran, went to Vijay’s house to confront him. However, Vijay did not open the door. On April 4 morning, tensions flared again when Vijay allegedly went near the residence of a woman known to Uday and abused her. Enraged by this, Uday and Vinod began searching for Vijay.
The police said the duo traced Vijay to a bar in the area, where another argument broke out. Vijay reportedly fled the spot but was intercepted by the two in a nearby lane off J.C. Nagar Main Road around 11.45 a.m.
The duo allegedly stabbed him with a knife and fled. Bystanders rushed him to a nearby hospital, where he was declared dead on arrival. He had sustained severe injuries to his abdomen and chest, the police said.
The police have booked both Vinod and Uday under the BNS Section dealing with murder and have arrested them.
