58 nominations filed for five Assembly segments in Tirunelveli

A total of 58 nominations were filed on Saturday for the five Assembly constituencies in the district for the April 23 Assembly elections. Candidates filed 15 nominations for Tirunelveli, 10 for Palayamkottai and Ambasamudram each, 16 for Nanguneri and seven for Radhapuram on Saturday.

A total of 58 nominations were filed on Saturday for the five Assembly constituencies in the district for the April 23 Assembly elections.
Candidates filed 15 nominations for Tirunelveli, 10 for Palayamkottai and Ambasamudram each, 16 for Nanguneri and seven for Radhapuram on Saturday.
DMK candidate S. Subramanian, AIADMK’s N. Ganesaraja, and TVK candidates R.S. Murughan filed their papers in Tirunelveli. In Ambasamudram, AIADMK’s Esakki Subaya, Bahujan Samaj Party’s R. Esaikannan and TVK’s S. Rajagopal were among those filed their nomnations.
AIADMK candidate Syed Sultan Samsudeen, TVK’s S. Maria John, NTK’s S. Sankaranarayanan, T.A. Umar of Thamizhaga Vaazhvurimai Katchi filed their nominations in Palayamkottai.
Ruby R. Manoharan of the Congress, Reddiyarpatti V. Narayanan of of the TVK, R. Janarthanan of the BSP, S. Vellaildorai of Sasikala’s All India Puratchi Thalaivar Makkal Munnetra Kazhagam, and Chithirai Selvan of Thamizhaga Vaazhvurimai Katchi were among those who filed their nominations in Nanguneri.
