Two hardcore Maoists carrying Rs 5 lakh cash reward surrender before Odisha Police

The two have been identified as Manku Oyam alias Jayaram of Karemarka and Lachu Madkam alias Biswanath of Adismet, both from the Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh.

Two hardcore Maoists involved in numerous Naxal activities in Rayagada, Kalahandi and Kandhamal districts, surrendered before Rayagada police SP Vivekanand Sharma in Odisha on Wednesday. The two have been identified as Manku Oyam alias Jayaram of Karemarka and Lachu Madkam alias Biswanath of Adismet, both from the Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh. Manku had joined the Sunabeda Area Committee of Mainpur-Nuapada division of the banned CPI (Maoist) organisation as a party member in November 2011.
