Two brothers drowned and one went missing when a boat capsized in West Bengal's Malda district. The two deceased have been identified as 18-year-old Subrata Mandal and 22-year-old Satyajit Mandal, an official was quoted as saying by news agency PTI. The other brother, who is missing, has been identified as 20-year-old Satyaban Mandal.
A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.
