
TRS MLA snatches mike from party MP during protest in Telangana’s Mahabubabad | Video

TRS MLA Banoth Shankar Nayak representing Mahabubabad in the assembly snatched the microphone from MP Kavitha, who represents the same parliamentary constituency. Following a complaint to CM KCR, the MLA was booked under the relevant sections of the IPC.
An ugly spat broke out between ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) party leaders, with an MLA snatching the microphone from an MP during a protest in Mahabubabad.
TRS MLA Banoth Shankar Nayak of Mahabubabad snatched the microphone from his own party MP, Maloth Kavita, during a protest. The entire incident took place during a protest organised against the BJP-led union government on Thursday, April 7.
The differences between Shankar Nayak representing Mahabubabad constituency and MP M Kavitha representing Mahabubabad parliament constituency came out in the open when party leaders were participating in a dharna demanding that the union government procure the entire paddy of the state’s farmers.
As instructed by the party chief and CM K Chandrashekar Rao, the protest was organised at district headquarters.
When TRS MP Kavitha was addressing the gathering, TRS MLA Shankar Naik stood at the stage and snatched the microphone from the MP, saying he would speak.

This stunned all other leaders and workers present at the venue. A humiliated Kavitha later took part in the dharna but has complained to senior leadership about the behaviour of the MLA.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.

According to the police, 19-year-old Sachin Dharmendrabhai Chaudhary, who works as a labourer, had borrowed the money before expressing his inability to repay it immediately, police said. He was allegedly threatened with his life over the delay in repayment. Fearing for his life, Sachin immediately alerted the police.
