Traffic police advisory for Noida-Delhi commuters ahead of Independence Day

Ahead of Independence Day programmes in Delhi and nearby areas, the police have issued an advisory to ensure smooth vehicular movement across the national capital. Parking facilities will not be available at Delhi Metro stations from 6:00 AM on 14th August, 2021 till 2:00 PM on 15th August, 2021 in view of the security measures adopted on the occasion of Independence Day.However, the Metro train services will continue to run. India will be celebrating its 75th Independence Day on Sunday. According to the advisory, the traffic for the general public around Red Fort, from where Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the nation on Independence Day, will remain closed from 4 am to 10 am, and will be open to only authorised vehicles.
