Traffic diversions and congestion warnings issued for air show at Begumpet Airport; plan travel in advance.
The Hyderabad Traffic Police have issued a traffic advisory in connection with the air show being held at Begumpet Airport till January 31, 2026, between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m., warning of heavy congestion and announcing diversions and parking arrangements.
The advisory, issued by Joint Commissioner of Police, Traffic, D. Joel Davis, said commuters should avoid the Panjagutta to Greenlands to Begumpet Airport stretch, as well as the surrounding roads of the airport, where congestion is expected, particularly at PNT Flyover, Rasoolpura and CTO Junction.
For visitors to the event, designated parking facilities were arranged at CARO, Gymkhana Ground and Hockey Ground.
The Traffic Police have requested the public to plan their travel in advance during the event period and to cooperate with the police. The Hyderabad Traffic helpline 9010203626 will be available for travel-related information, and commuters can also report issues through the department’s social media handles.
