The Trinamool Congress took a jibe at the BJP on April Fool's Day, using a meme about the Will Smith-Chris Rock slapgate at the Oscars.
The Trinamool Congress (TMC) mocked the Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) promises of 'acche din' on April Fool's Day, using a meme of the infamous slapgate scandal at the Oscars 2022.

During the awards ceremony, Will Smith walked up to the stage and punched Chris Rock for making fun of his wife, Jada Pinkett Smith's baldness.
This comes at a time when the Opposition is attacking the government over rising fuel prices in the country.
Earlier on Wednesday, the TMC took out a rally in Kolkata demanding that "anti-people decisions" be immediately rolled back.
The rally, which commenced in south Kolkata's Golpark area, concluded in Rashbehari, covering a distance of around 2 km.
Carrying posters and placards that had 'Rollback fuel and LPG price hike' written on them, TMC activists shouted slogans against the BJP government at the Centre.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.

According to the police, 19-year-old Sachin Dharmendrabhai Chaudhary, who works as a labourer, had borrowed the money before expressing his inability to repay it immediately, police said. He was allegedly threatened with his life over the delay in repayment. Fearing for his life, Sachin immediately alerted the police.
