McConaughey called the stomach-churning antic a “coming of age” moment.
Timothée Chalamet says “Interstellar” was his all-time favorite film to work on but revealed that he received quite the jarring surprise during his final day on set thanks to his co-star Matthew McConaughey.
While discussing the 2014 sci-fi drama with Variety in a Feb. 21 joint interview with McConaughey, the “Marty Supreme” star spilled the beans about a stomach-churning prank that the Texas-born actor played on him, which McConaughey described as a “coming of age” moment.
“I gotta say, my last day on ‘Interstellar,’ I was sad to be leaving. In my trailer, I went to the bathroom and there was a huge turd in my toilet,” Chalamet began.
Admitting that the gross antic left him feeling “so disrespected,” he continued, “Like, I know I’m not the star of this movie, but who’s coming in here? So I went around to all the grips, these big guys, and I said, ‘Hey, one of you let it loose in my trailer.’ They said no.”
The now-Golden Globe winner then shared that the film’s director, Christopher Nolan, was in on McConaughey pulling the stunt.
