Barbra Streisand Gets Torched For Her Congratulations To Olympic Champ Alysa Liu

"Why would you think this caption is okay," one critic wrote to the singing icon after her shoutout to the figure skater.
Barbra Streisand discovered that memories may be beautiful and yet ... they don’t belong in a congratulations message about Olympic gold medalist Alysa Liu.
Critics trashed the iconic singer for a rambling social media post that sincerely shouted out the U.S. figure skater but took a few awkward turns.
Her post was still making the rounds this week, although she shared it a day after Liu’s spirited free skate clinched her victory at the Milan Cortina Games.
The Oscar winner wrote on Instagram:
We were so happy to see Alysa Liu win the gold medal in Milan yesterday. My husband just showed me that in 2019 she skated to my song “Don’t Rain on My Parade”. I’m so proud of her. I heard that she is half Chinese. My second family in Brooklyn that lived above us was a Chinese family called the Choys. I worked in their Chinese restaurant since I was 12 years old and also baby sat for their children. She was like a second mother to me.
