“Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man” is the No. 1 movie on Netflix right now, according to the streaming service’s public ranking system.
The streamer’s follow-up film — set years after the hit crime drama’s series finale — serves as the final chapter of Tommy Shelby’s (Cillian Murphy) story, as the notorious gangster returns to Birmingham from his self-imposed exile to face his most destructive reckoning yet.
As the story goes, Tommy is pulled back into the violent life he said goodbye to amid World War II chaos after his estranged son (Barry Keoghan) gets embroiled in a Nazi plot. “With the future of the family and the country at stake, Tommy must face his own demons and choose whether to confront his legacy, or burn it to the ground,” the synopsis reads. “By order of the Peaky Blinders…”
The film — which will be followed by a forthcoming sequel series — also stars Rebecca Ferguson, Tim Roth, Sophie Rundle and Stephen Graham.
