From a star-studded murder mystery to a messy Tyler Perry drama, here are some of the top shows on streaming services this week.
“Jury Duty Presents: Company Retreat” is currently one of the top shows on Prime Video, according to the streaming service’s public ranking system.
The Emmy-nominated prank comedy — which became a runaway hit with its faux jury duty-themed season starring James Marsden in 2023 — returned for Season 2 on March 20 to test out a new pseudo-reality concept: an annual company retreat.
Captured documentary-style, the latest installment of the series stages a fake corporate offsite event, hosted by the family-owned hot sauce company Rockin’ Grandma’s, from the perspective of a recently hired temp worker named Anthony.
As Anthony learns, the founder of Rockin’ Grandma’s is preparing to step down, with the fate — and control — of the family brand hanging in the balance as big corporate ambitions soon clash with small-business values.
Unbeknownst to Anthony, though, every aspect of this series of events — from his wacky colleagues to the getaway itself — has been meticulously orchestrated to test whether he’ll become the hero of the story and save Rockin’ Grandma’s.
