The makers of Khosla Ka Ghosla 2 have confirmed the sequel will release on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan this year. It would mark the return of the original cast after 20 years.
The release date for the highly anticipated Khosla Ka Ghosla 2 has been announced by the film's team. The sequel is set to arrive in cinemas on 28 August 2026, coinciding with Raksha Bandhan.
The announcement was made on Thursday through the official TSeries Instagram account, reviving excitement among fans of the original 2006 film.
The makers shared the update with a post, saying, "20 years later, The Khoslas are back." The message was accompanied by, "#KhoslaKaGhosla2 In Cinemas on 28th August 2026."
The production for the film began in January this year, ending years of speculation about the sequel's timeline and casting.
Actor Anupam Kher earlier heightened anticipation by sharing photos with the original cast, including Ranvir Shorey, Parvin Dabas, and Kiran Juneja, as well as new ensemble member Ravi Kishan. The return of familiar faces has contributed to growing interest in the upcoming release. The project marks a significant milestone for Kher, who noted this as his 550th film.
Reflecting on the enduring popularity of the first film, Kher remarked, 'I wonder what it is that resonates with the magic of this film!' The returning actors and creative team suggest that the sequel aims to recapture the spirit and humour that made the original a success.
