The Kashmir Files box office collection Day 4: Vivek Agnihotri's film records massive jump

Vivek Agnihotri's directorial venture, The Kashmir Files, recorded a massive jump on Monday, March 14, at the box office. Meanwhile, as many as 1,500 more screens were added on Sunday.

The Kashmir Files released in the theatres on March 11. The Vivek Agnihotri-directorial is redefining the box office records of Bollywood. Despite limited promotions and minimal marketing, the film is turning out to be a historic blockbuster. On Day 4, that is Monday, March 14, it reportedly earned Rs 18 crore at the box office. Starring Anupam Kher and Mithun Chakraborty, The Kashmir Files is set in 1990 during the Kashmir insurgency.

The Kashmir Files had an extraordinary opening at the box office and earned Rs 3.55 crore on its release day. On Day 3, it had recorded Rs 15.10 crore at the box office. However, on Day 4, the film witnessed a massive jump. It clocked in Rs 18 crore reportedly, which is way bigger than Sunday's numbers. As of now, the grand total stands at Rs 43.15-45.15 crore. We are sure the film would enter the Rs 100-crore club soon. It is expected that The Kashmir Files might score even better on Tuesday, and could even end up touching the Rs 20-crore mark.

The film tells the true story of brutal sufferings endured by Kashmiri Pandits in 1990, during the Kashmir insurgency. The Kashmir Files' cast features Anupam Kher as Pushkarnath, Mithun Chakraborty as Brahma Dutt, Darshan Kumar as Krishna Pandit, Pallavi Joshi as Radhika Menon, Bhasha Sumbali as Shraddha Pandit and Chinmay Mandlekar as Farooq Malik aka Bitta, among others. The film is bankrolled by Tej Narayan Agarwal, Abhishek Agarwal, Pallavi Joshi and Vivek Agnihotri under the Zee Studios, IAmBuddha and Abhishek Agarwal Arts banners.
