According to a report in Variety, the series will be shot at Elstree Studios, just north of London, under strict Covid-19 protocols. The producers of The Crown Season 5 confirmed it to Variety that the shooting of the series will begin in July. The new season will feature a whole new cast of actors playing the iconic royals. Elizabeth Debicki will be seen as Princess Diana, Dominic West as Prince Charles, Imelda Staunton will be playing the Queen and Lesley Manville will portray Princess Margaret.
