
Thar stunt goes wrong in Faridabad, Class 9 boy dies after car falls off cliff

A 15-year-old Class 9 student died after a Mahindra Thar plunged into a 100-foot-deep cliff during an alleged stunt attempt in Faridabad, Haryana.
A 15-year-old boy died while two others were injured after a Mahindra Thar allegedly lost control and plunged into a 100-foot-deep cliff during a stunt attempt in Haryana’s Faridabad district on Tuesday.
According to police, the SUV was being driven by 20-year-old Vikas when the accident occurred.
The victim was a Class 9 student. His father, Pramod, works in a private company. The child died on the spot, while Vikas and another minor, 16-year-old Hemant, sustained serious injuries and were admitted to a hospital.
According to information shared by the police, Vikas’s family had purchased the Thar around a month ago. On Tuesday afternoon, Vikas asked the victim and anothre friend edto accompany him, and the three friends went out for a drive. They reportedly reached a hilly stretch about one kilometre inside from the Sohna-Ballabhgarh main road.
Police said the trio parked the vehicle near the edge of a cliff and began performing stunts. During this time, Vikas allegedly made a critical error while driving, causing the vehicle to go out of control and fall into the gorge, approximately 100 feet deep.
Passersby who witnessed the accident rushed to the spot and, after considerable effort, managed to pull the three out of the cliff. They were immediately taken to a hospital, where doctors declared child dead on arrival. The injured were admitted to Al-Falah Hospital in Dhauj for treatment.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.

According to the police, 19-year-old Sachin Dharmendrabhai Chaudhary, who works as a labourer, had borrowed the money before expressing his inability to repay it immediately, police said. He was allegedly threatened with his life over the delay in repayment. Fearing for his life, Sachin immediately alerted the police.
