
Terrorist killed in encounter with security forces in Jammu and Kashmir's Shopian

The security forces have killed a terrorist in an encounter in Shopian this morning. They are yet to identify him.
A terrorist was killed in an encounter with the police in Jammu and Kashmir’s Shopian district earlier today. The police, after receiving specific input about the presence of terrorists in Shopian’s Chermarg area, began a massive cordon and search operation. Forces were immediately mobilised and moved to the area.
“Encounter had started at Chermarg, Zainapora area of Shopian. Police and security forces are on the job. Further details shall follow,”the Kashmir Zone Police tweeted this morning.

As the hiding terrorists began firing at the forces, they retaliated, killing a terrorist in the ensuing encounter.
