Telangana BJP claims hate speech case against Akbaruddin Owaisi was watered down

Telangana BJP leader Bandi Sanjay Kumar has claimed that ruling TRS along with Congress and AIMIM colluded to water down the hate speech case against Akbaruddin Owaisi.
Telangana BJP president and MP Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Wednesday claimed that hate speech cases against All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) leader Akbaruddin Owaisi were watered down.
His statements came after Owaisi was acquitted by a special court in two criminal cases against him for alleged hate speeches delivered at Nizamabad and Nirmal, over nine years ago.
Bandi Sanjay Kumar alleged that there was collusion between ruling TRS, Owaisi's AIMIM and Congress to water down the case. People will surely set an appropriate example for these three parties, he said, demanding an appeal against the court order.

"The court needs evidence. The state government deliberately did not submit the evidence. What more proof is needed that the TRS government has not colluded with the AIMIM?" he asked.
The BJP leader further claimed that when the case against Akbaruddin Owaisi was registered, the then Congress government also watered down the case. It has become a habit of the AIMIM to stick with the parties in power, Kumar alleged.
Akabaruddin Owaisi, the brother of AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi, was acquitted in both cases of hate speech registered against him in 2012. The witnesses produced by the prosecution did not indict him for any speeches to provoke communal hatred.
