
Tamil Nadu: Man arrested for posing as ACP, keeping gun in his beacon-fitted SUV

A man was detained on Monday for carrying a gun and allegedly posing as an Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) in Tamil Nadu’s Vathalakundu.
A man in Tamil Nadu’s Vathalakundu was arrested on Monday for allegedly posing as an Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) and keeping a gun in his blue beacon-fitted Bolero SUV. A team of police while searching vehicles at Theni-Dindigul bypass intercepted his car on Monday. When they questioned the driver, he called himself an ACP.
A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.

He was allegedly threatened with his life over the delay in repayment. Fearing for his life, Sachin immediately alerted the police.
