
Tamil Nadu: Infant with congenital heart disease abandoned by parents in Chennai

A baby girl born with a congenital heart disease has been abandoned by her parents at a Chennai hospital in Tamil Nadu. The cost of the surgery will be borne by the state government.
An infant born with a congenital heart disease has been abandoned by her parents and left to the care of nurses and doctors at the Government Institute of Child Health, Egmore (ICH) in Tamil Nadu's Chennai city. Born on June 26 in Cuddalore district, baby X was referred to the ICH on July 3 after she developed respiratory distress and low oxygen levels. She was found to be diagnosed with a congenital heart disease which needs corrective surgery.
A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.

He was allegedly threatened with his life over the delay in repayment. Fearing for his life, Sachin immediately alerted the police.
