A family of three in Tamil Nadu’s Kallakurichi district narrowly escaped with their lives when a gas cylinder in their house exploded after catching fire. The spine chilling visuals of the escape were even recorded on CCTV cameras.
The incident occurred in one of the tribal households of Kalvarayan hills in the Kallakuruchi district. Homeowner Raja, his wife and their 10-month-old son were the ones to escape the fatal accident.
As per reports, last night Raja’s wife had kept some milk on the gas stove to boil and then went to her neighbour’s place.
The wife forgot about the burning stove and soon their straw house caught fire. As soon as Raja, along with his family and neighbours moved away from the burning structure, the gas cylinder kept inside the thatched house exploded.
However, as none were near the site of the accident, everyone escaped unharmed. The fire department was promptly informed of the matter and reached the spot to extinguish the fire.
