Tamil Nadu CM M.K. Stalin inaugurates multiple infrastructure projects in Kolathur, enhancing local development with significant investments.
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin on Sunday (March 8, 2026) inaugurated three new projects by the Chennai Metropolitan Development Authority (CMDA) implemented at a cost of ₹28.25 crore. He also inaugurated three new projects by the Greater Chennai Corporation (GCC) implemented at a cost of ₹4.15 crore.
During his visit to his Kolathur Assembly constituency, Mr. Stalin also inaugurated upgraded sewage pumping stations by the Chennai Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (CMWSSB) at a cost of ₹12.48 crore, an official release said. The projects by the CMDA were implemented from funds under the North Chennai Development Scheme.
Renovated Murasoli Maran Park, Mudhalvar Padaippagam and modern library, Kolathur Modern Shopping Complex were among the projects of the CMDA. Minister P.K. Sekarbabu, Chennai Mayor R. Priya, MPs Kalanidhi Veeraswamy and R. Girirajan, legislators Thayagam Kavi, Joseph Samuel and A. Vetriazhagan; and senior officials were present.
