Tamil Nadu Assembly elections 2021: According to sources, the BJP sought 33 seats while the AIADMK was inclined to provide 21 seats the latter had provided 23 seats to the Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK), a party with a larger presence in the state.
Ahead of Tamil Nadu Assembly polls, talks over seat-sharing arrangements continue between the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK). Sources say the BJP sought 33 seats while the AIADMK was inclined to provide 21 seats the latter had provided 23 seats to the Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK), a party with a larger presence in the state. Sources also said that though the BJP is ready to fight on 21 seats, constituencies are turning out to be a headache currently for the AIADMK as Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edapadi K Palanisamy might have to make some sacrifices which would not go well with others in the party.More Related News
