A man was killed on Tuesday when he was trying to shoot a selfie video and was hit by a train near Gudiyattam in Vellore district.
A 22-year-old man was killed on Tuesday when he was trying to shoot a selfie video and was hit by a speeding train near Gudiyattam in the Vellore district.
The deceased, identified as Vasantha Kumar, worked as a cable TV operator. He used to make reels and videos to upload on social media.
The incident took place when he had gone with his friends to the Melattur railway station near Gudiyattam to make a reel.

Unfortunately, when he was trying to shoot a selfie video, he was hit by a moving train. He died on the spot.
After receiving the information, the Jolarpet police rushed to the spot. They recovered the body and sent it to Gudiyattam government hospital for post-mortem.
The police have registered a case and are investigating the matter.
