
Sunny Deol teams up with Akhanda director Boyapati Srinu for Jaat 2: Report

Actor Sunny Deol, who recently tasted success with Border 2, may soon collaborate with Telugu filmmaker Boyapati Srinu for the sequel of his recent film, Jaat.
After working with Gopichand Malineni in Jaat, Sunny Deol, who recently tasted success with Border 2, may soon collaborate with another Telugu filmmaker, Boyapati Srinu, for his Jaat 2.
According to a report by Gulte, the production house had initially considered bringing back director Gopichand Malineni, who helmed the first installment. However, with Malineni currently occupied with other commitments, the makers reportedly approached director Sriram Adittya before eventually considering Boyapati Srinu for the sequel.
While nothing has been officially confirmed yet, industry buzz suggests that Boyapati Srinu could helm Jaat 2 starring Sunny Deol.
Meanwhile, Sunny Deol has several projects lined up. The actor will next be seen in Lahore 1947, which also stars Aamir Khan and Preity Zinta. The film is scheduled for release on Independence Day in 2026.
Deol is also part of upcoming Netflix projects Ikka and Gabru. The latter, directed by Shashank Udapurkar and produced by Vishal Rana and Om Chhangani, is scheduled to release in theatres across India on May 8, 2026. The film also stars Simran and Prit Kamani in key roles.
