Workers of the Samajwadi Party cycled on the Purvanchal Expressway and claimed to inaugurate it in a ribbon-cutting ceremony, before PM Narendra Modi's arrival on Tuesday, November 16. The Samajwadi Party has been blaming the BJP government for taking credit for SP’s work. It also has been at loggerheads with the BJP over the Purvanchal Expressway. SP chief Akhilesh Yadav said that the expressway is an achievement of his government.
