The Southwest Monsoon is expected to revive from July 8, M Rajeevan, Secretary of the Ministry of Earth Sciences said on Sunday. He also added that a weather system is likely to form over the Bay of Bengal by July 12.
After a break of almost three weeks, the Southwest Monsoon is expected to revive from July 8, M Rajeevan, Secretary of the Ministry of Earth Sciences said on Sunday. Rajeevan, who has been researching the Southwest Monsoon for more than three decades, noted that forecast models show signs of revival, increasing rains in the South, West Coast and East Central India from July 8.
A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.

He was allegedly threatened with his life over the delay in repayment. Fearing for his life, Sachin immediately alerted the police.
