Punjab Congress chief Navjot Singh Sidhu has questioned the Centre's move to extend the jurisdiction of the BSF to a 50 km belt along the international border in Punjab.
Punjab Congress chief Navjot Singh Sidhu on Monday questioned the Centre's move to extend the jurisdiction of the Border Security Force (BSF) to a 50 km belt along the international border in Punjab, saying the government is weakening the country’s federal structure by creating a "state within a state".
In a series of tweets, Navjot Singh Sidhu slammed the Centre as he participated in an all-party meeting chaired by Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi, convened to deliberate on the issue of jurisdiction of the BSF.
