Sidhu Moose Wala murder case: 1 suspect detained in Uttarakhand’s Dehradun

A day after Sidhu Moose Wala was shot dead in Mansa district, the Punjab Police detained one suspect in connection with the killing.
Punjab Police has detained a suspect who is likely involved in the murder of Sidhu Moose Wala. The Punjabi singer was shot dead by unidentified assailants in Jawaharke village of Mansa district on Sunday.
A day after the incident, a total of 6 people were nabbed in Uttarakhand’s Dehradun with the help of state police and the Special Task Force (STF). Of the 6 people detained, one is suspected to be a member of Lawrence Bishnoi gang, which is said to be involved in the murder of Sidhu Moose Wala.
Lawrence Bishnoi gang has come under police radar after Canada-based gangster Goldy Brar claimed responsibility for Sidhu Moose Wala’s murder. Goldy Brar is a close associate of jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi.
Goldy Brar claimed he had killed Sidhu Moose Wala to avenge the death of Vicky Middukhera, who was shot dead in Punjab’s Mohali last year.
The Punjab Police said that the attack on Sidhu Moose Wala is suspected to be a fallout of inter-gang rivalry. Mansa Senior Superintendent of Police Gaurav Toora said the name of Moose Wala's manager had cropped up in the murder case of youth Akali leader Vicky Middukhera last year.
