Sidhu given Punjab Congress charge in view of future, Amarinder still there: Harish Rawat

Punjab Congress in-charge Harish Rawat said Navjot Singh Sidhu was elevated to the post of Punjab Congress president keeping party's future in view, adding that Captain Amarinder Singh was still the chief minister in the current setup.

Punjab Congress in-charge Harish Rawat said Navjot Singh Sidhu was elevated to the post of Punjab Congress president keeping party's future in view but asserted that in the current set up Captain Amarinder Singh was still the chief minister. "Sidhu comes from a different environment. He was given responsibility in Punjab keeping in view of future. But this does not mean that Congress has been handed over to him, Amarinder is also there," Harish Rawat said as the Punjab Congress sinks deeper in factionalism.
