Sidharth Malhotra, Anushka Sharma and celebs hail Neeraj Chopra for winning silver in World Athletics Championships

Neeraj Chopra won a silver medal at the prestigious World Athletics Championships. Bollywood celebs have poured congratulatory messages for him.

Neeraj Chopra has once again made India proud. The Olympic Champion became the first Indian ever to win silver at World Athletics Championships in the men's javelin final. He is the second Indian and first male track and field athlete to win a medal in the World Championships in Eugene. Social media is filled with congratulations for Neeraj Chopra from all corners. Several Bollywood celebrities like Sidharth Malhotra and Anushka Sharma have also cheered for him.

Anushka Sharma added a picture of Neeraj Chopra on her Instagram stories and wrote, "Congratulations @neeraj__chopra (sic)." Sidharth Malhotra also wrote, "Congratulations @neeraj__chopra for winning a silver at the World Athletics Championship 2022. More power to you (sic)."

Neeraj Chopra had produced a throw of 88.13m to finish second, on his fourth attempt in the men's javelin throw final in Oregon, making him only the second Indian to win a medal at the World Athletics Championships.
