Shweta Tiwari approached to participate as contestant in Lock Upp. Read details

Television actress Shweta Tiwari has been offered Ekta Kapoor's reality show, Lock Upp. The show is touted to be the most fearless reality show.

Ekta Kapoor is known to treat the viewers with engaging content, be it on television or in the digital space. Recently, on February 3, the TV czarina announced one of the biggest reality shows, Lock Upp. The reality show will stream 24x7 live on ALTBalaji and MX Player. The reality show will see 16 celebrities participating in the show. They will be locked up behind bars and it will be hosted by a Bollywood actress. While the show is yet to premiere, IndiaToday.in has exclusively learnt that the makers have approached Shweta Tiwari for the show.

A source close to the show has informed IndiaToday.in that Shweta Tiwari has been offered Lock Upp, but the actress has not signed the dotted line yet.

"Shweta Tiwari has been approached for the show to participate as a contestant. There is no clarity on whether the actress will agree to do Lock Upp or not. But the makers would definitely want her to be a part of the show as they are keen to have her," a source informed IndiaToday.in.

Talking about her fearless reality show at its launch event, Ekta Kapoor said, "Lock Upp is being launched on a massive scale and has all the elements that make for an entertaining reality show. The concept of the show is brilliant, and I am sure that it will captivate the viewers and set a new standard for reality shows. I am also glad that MXPlayer has partnered with ALTBalaji. I wish the team the very best and I am sure they will create history with Lock Upp and that it will be a roaring success."

Meanwhile, it remains to be seen if Shweta comes on-board for the show or not.
