One person has been injured in a shooting outside the Bangladesh deputy High Commission in Kolkata this afternoon where over 300 had turned up during namaaz with posters and placards demanding BJP leader Nupur Sharma’s arrest.
Nupur Sharma was suspended by the BJP while her party colleague Naveen Kumar Jindal was expelled from the party last week for their comments on the Prophet following international condemnation.
The protests in Kolkata began around 1pm.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.

He was allegedly threatened with his life over the delay in repayment. Fearing for his life, Sachin immediately alerted the police.
