SHO adopts primary school in UP’s Maharajganj, cops take classes daily | Pics

The Station House Officer (SHO) of Bargadwa village in UP’s Maharajganj has adopted the local primary school to help improve the quality of education. The entire police team takes out an hour each morning to teach the children in the school.

In Maharajganj district of Uttar Pradesh, the Station House Officer (SHO) of Bargadwa, Sunil Roy, has taken up the responsibility of improving the local primary school, along with his team.

The policemen have been taking out an hour every morning from their routine lives to teach the children in the local government school.

The teaching classes by the policeman are now called the ‘Classes of Thanedar Sahib’. The state government had issued guidelines encouraging officers to help improve the quality of education in primary schools.

Motivated by the government’s programme, the Bargadwa police station took a step further by adopting the local primary school.

Before joining the police force, SHO Roy was a teacher. He said, “We will take care of the children. Along with their studies, their needs will also be looked after by providing them with the needed stationary. We seek to give them a better environment to learn and grow. It will be my pleasure to be able to help the children with their education.”
