
Shivpal Singh Yadav pays 'courtesy visit' to UP CM Yogi Adityanath

Hours after being sworn in as an MLA of the UP Assembly, Shivpal Singh Yadav met Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath at the latter's official residence in Lucknow.
Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath met Shivpal Singh Yadav at 5 Kalidas Marg, the former's official residence in Lucknow, on Wednesday.
The meeting, termed by Shivpal Singh Yadav's aides as a "courtesy call", lasted for nearly 20 minutes.
The brother of former UP CM Mulayam Singh Yadav, Shivpal Singh Yadav, had floated a new party in 2019 following differences with SP chief Akhilesh Yadav. Shivpal Singh Yadav's Pragatisheel Samajwadi Party-Lohia contested the recent UP Assembly polls as part of the Samajwadi Party-led alliance.
On Wednesday, Shivpal Singh Yadav was sworn in as an MLA of the UP Legislative Assembly in the presence of Speaker Satish Mahana. Yadav had won from Jaswantnagar seat of Etawah in the recent elections.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.

According to the police, 19-year-old Sachin Dharmendrabhai Chaudhary, who works as a labourer, had borrowed the money before expressing his inability to repay it immediately, police said. He was allegedly threatened with his life over the delay in repayment. Fearing for his life, Sachin immediately alerted the police.
